In-Band Full-Duplex Dynamic Spectrum Sharing in Beyond 5G Networks

چکیده

Dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) has recently attracted keen interest from regulatory bodies around the world as a key strategy to overcome scarcity in beyond 5G networks. In United States, Federal Communications Commission adopted three-tier DSS model for Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) band managed by access system (SAS) share incumbents' with commercial cellular broadband applications. this article, we first present survey of current approaches and their limitations then discuss benefits using in-band full-duplex (IBFD) techniques To illustrate improvement performance priority license (PAL) general authorized (GAA) users an IBFD-assisted CBRS, consider CBRS mobile network (MBN) architecture comprising incumbent form MIMO radar IBFD MBN, consisting PAL GAA users. particular, design joint beamformers at constraints on transmit power MBN detection probability system, mitigate interference toward system. It is shown that not only leads improved users, but does so while producing less than state-of-the-art half-duplex solutions. Finally, some open research challenges invigorate

Inband Full-duplex Wireless Communications for Dynamic Spectrum Sharing Systems

Over the last decade, there has been an exponential growth in the wireless demand, driven by an increase in the number of devices, users, and applications. Combined with an increase in the number of connections (due to Internet of things or IoT) and the spike in mobile video, this growth led to a spectrum crisis. To face this problem, various solutions have been proposed, including more cell de...

Full-Duplex eNodeB and UE Design for 5G Networks

The recent progress in the area of selfinterference cancellation (SIC) design has enabled the development of full-duplex (FD) single and multiple antenna systems. In this paper, we propose a design for FD eNodeB (eNB) and user equipment (UE) for 5G networks. The use of FD operation enables simultaneous in-band uplink and downlink operation and thereby cutting down the spectrum requirement by ha...

Spectrum Sharing In Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks

A study by Federal Communication Commission shows that most of the spectrum in current wireless networks is unused most of the time, while some spectrum is heavily used. Recently dynamic spectrum access (DSA) has been proposed to solve this spectrum inefficiency problem, by allowing users to opportunistically access to unused spectrum. One important question in DSA is how to efficiently share s...

5G Spectrum Sharing

In this paper an overview is given of the current status of 5G industry standards, spectrum allocation and use cases, followed by initial investigations of new opportunities for spectrum sharing in 5G using cognitive radio techniques, considering both licensed and unlicensed scenarios. A particular attention is given to sharing millimeter-wave frequencies, which are of prominent importance for 5G.

Spectrum sharing through distributed coordination in dynamic spectrum access networks

Spectrum sharing in open spectrum systems is a challenging problem, particularly since users experience dynamic spectrum availabilities that vary over time and location. In the absence of any centralize infrastructure, users coordinate their spectrum usage to support fair access of spectrum and avoid interference. One critical challenge is to construct an efficient signalling path in the presen...
